"Sparkles For Blood" Campaign At Comic-Con

Are y'all just as "WTForks" as I am? I like my vamps sparkly. K? Thanks!Fans that bring any copy of a Twilight novel or comic to IDW's booth (#2643)
will get a free copy of the 30 Days of Night graphic novel. Dubbed "Sparkles for
Blood," the promotion is meant to spark interest in the recently announced 30
Days of Night ongoing series, debuting from IDW in October.
"Real horror fans have watched vampires systematically turned into wimpy fodder for years now. It's time to fight back" said Niles. "I'm happy to be working with IDW on the Sparkles for Blood event. Hopefully, working together we can put an end to
this nightmare."
"Recently, vampires in pop culture have started to swing back to the romanticized vamps of other literature and films before 30 Days of Night," said IDW chief creative officer, Chris Ryall. "In some cases, they're even being treated more as chaste immortal teenagers than as the murderous creatures that they are. 'Sparkles for Blood' will remind everyone that vampires are creatures of the night, not of the twilight."

What's Going Down for Twilighters at Comic Con 2011: who, what, where and when!

Epic thanks to the TwilightExaminer:
This year's Comic-Con event in San Diego promises to host a lot of interesting parcels for Twilight fans, not the least of which will be exclusive new footage from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1. There'll be Twilight stars present for the Breaking Dawn - Part 1 panel on Thursday, but there'll also be a few other panels of interest throughout the rest of the convention.
So, to keep it organized, here's a run-down of all of the Twilight-related events at Comic-Con, including who'll be there, what they'll be supporting, when the various panels and presentations take place, and where each is located. This list will be updated with further information if and when it comes in.
- Thursday, July 21st:
11:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.: The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 panel - No word yet on exactly which Breaking Dawn castmates will be on-hand to deliver this "exclusive footage," but, based on a glance at the history of Twilight and Comic-Con, one might expect that Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, and the director, Bill Condon, will be present along with a few other choice castmembers (perhaps Part 1's newcomers, the "Denali Coven" castmates? Maybe Julia Jones and Booboo Stewart, since their characters become more prominent in this leg of the Saga?). One thing is for certain, it'll be a treat for fans who make it into Hall H.
Thursday will also host a special panel on vampire lore as it relates to zombies from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. World War Z author Max Brooks and horror film guru Wes Craven are among those scheduled to talk about which iconic vampires and zombies throughout entertainment history would win in a battle of the fantasy creatures. That panel is titled "Deadliest Warrior: Vampires vs. Zombies" and will take place in Room 25ABC.Taylor Lautner: In addition to his expected appearance at the Breaking Dawn - Part 1 panel, Taylor Lautner will be on-hand for autograph signings at Lionsgate's booth (#3729) during the day on Thursday, in support of his September release Abduction.
- Friday, July 22nd:
2:15 p.m. - 3:15 p.m.: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 newcomer Joe Anderson ("Alistair") will be appearing on the ABC panel for his new series, The River. An exclusive screening will be shown during this as well. This is a great opportunity for Twilight fans to get their first-look at one of the Saga's newest castmembers! This happens in Room 6A.
On Friday, also, Yen Press and its senior staff will be hosting a panel from 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Yen Press is the company responsible for Twilight: The Graphic Novel, Volumes 1 & 2. While the panel description states that the crew will be discussing their 2012 projects (and the release date for Volume 2 has been announced as October 11th of this year), it's possible that they might discuss a few things about the Twilight graphic novel series. This takes place in Room 8.
- Saturday, July 23rd
12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.: There'll be a Twilight fan fiction panel with the following fic writers: ScarlettLetters (Wild Swan), ArcadianMaggie (I Wept Not), MJinAspen (Reality Minus Expectations), Rochelle Allison (Stary Eyed Inside), magnolia822 (A Quit Fire), Belladonna1472 (The Cullen Campaign) and Einfach Mich (Confessions of a Difficult Woman). They are expected to discuss "the challenges and joys of writing derivative fiction in the Twilight fandom," which sounds terribly interesting, and it'll take placce in the Santa Rosa Room at the Marritt Marquis & Marina.
1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.: Kellan Lutz and his Immortals co-stars will be appearing at a special panel for their November release during this time in Hall H.
3:30 p.m. - 4:45 p.m.: Kristen Stewart will be joining her newest set of co-stars and director Rupert Sanders on a special panel for her latest project, Snow White And The Huntsman. According to Comic-Con's schedule, they'll be presenting "exclusive footage" and participating in a Q&A following the reveal in Hall H. This'll be a must-see for Kristen Stewart fans, no doubt about that. It is uncertain what footage will be revealed for this, since filming on SWATH hasn't yet begun, but it should be very interesting!
5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.: There'll be a costume designer panel featuring two Twilight Saga costume designers, Wendy Chuck and Phillip Boutte, which will take place in Room 23ABC.

Breaking Dawn Schedule For Comic-Con Released

This morning Comic- Con released it's schedule for Thursday, July 21st. That just happens to be the day the The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn- Part 1 panel is being held.
Comic-Con's website states:
11:15-12:15 The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1— Summit EntertainmentI wonder which cast members will be there. Kellan is confirmed for his film's, Immortals, panel on July 23rd. Taylor is confirmed for his film Abduction, whose signing is on the same day as Breaking Dawn. My guess is as many of the main characters as possible will be there. This is the second to last film so I am sure most, if not all, of the vamps will be there. I'm not too sure about the wolves...
presents a sneak peek at the highly anticipated next chapter of The Twilight
Saga. This is a must see for fans interested in the story's final chapters.
You'll see exclusive footage from The Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Part 1 and be
treated to a filmmaker and cast Q&A session providing details on the first
half of the epic two-part finale. Hall H
